Tinkerbell and Tribble are best friends and sisters. Tinkerbell was born around January 1, 2005, and Tribble was born on June 1, 2009.
They live together in sunny California
About Tink:
Tinkerbell parents got from her previous owner in the last week of August, 2008. They would have adopted her sooner, however they were in Canada attending a wedding on Tink's new mom's birthday.
Tink's previous owner had to rehome her because of her reaction to other cats. Tink is a queen, and does not like to have her authority challenged by other felines!
Tinkerbell had been in her new home for less than a day before she was rolling over and asking for belly-rubs. For the first few months, she hardly opened her mouth, but after that it's all her parents can do to get her to close it!
Tink enjoys sitting in her tower and watching the world go by. She also like walking around on the balcony, watching the birds and neighbours. On occasion when her parents don't close the door quick enough, she also likes to run out and explore the neighbour hood. But unlike Tribble, she doesn't like to go out with anyone else, just on her own.
Overall, Tink has been a very healthy cat and really seems to enjoy her life. She enjoys chasing Tribble around the apartment, and the red and green laser pointers. She's recently taken to bringing her parents presents (Tribble's toys) when she comes to sleep with them at night.
When Tribble's new parents first brought Tribble home, they knew she was going to be a high energy dog (it took about a week for her to come out of her shell).
Her parents had a previous dog who theyloved to death but couldn't necessarily trust around children, people, etc., so they wanted to be sure Tribble was well trained so that they could trust her in any situation. This is particularly important here in the bay area, because it is so ... urbanized.
About a week after they got her they started her training with a private in-home trainer (she didn't have all of her vaccines, so couldn't take public classes). After that finished she started Puppy 1 at A Dog's Life in Sunnyvale. She already knew the commands, but relearning them in such a new and exciting environment (puppies and people!) was important. She passed with flying colours!
She has since passed Puppy 2, and is finishing Puppy 3. Past this, Tribble is not sure if there will be more learning, or just more enforcement of existing comands.
Tribble is doing extremely well, having fun playing with her parents and with her 'big sister'.
